R & D and design & consultancy are the main capabilities
currently strengthened by Genertec, also a strong support of its

China Automobile Engineering Research Institute (abbr.as CAERI)
of Genertec is a top-class research facility in the country, and one
of the major bases and technical support centers for product
development, testing, and quality inspection of the domestic auto
industry. CAERI hosts China,s quality inspection and testing center
for heavy-duty trucks, national engineering and research center for
fuel gas vehicles, national auto industry invention testing and
accreditation center, national new auto products testing and
registration center, China auto products compulsory certification
and testing center, national defective autos testing center,
national vehicle emissions lab accredited by the State Environmental
Protection Administration, heavy-duty autos accreditation and
testing center of the Chongqing import and export inspection bureau,
Chongqing vehicles emissions and energy-saving lab, and Chongqing
vehicles/bio clash safety lab. Its R&D competencies for MPVs and MPV
components and testing and inspection competencies for assembled
vehicles, motorcycles and components fully comply with the NDRC
catalogue of compulsory auto and motorcycle tests.
CAERI also owns proprietary IPRs on 236 auto models (e.g. the Red
Rock heavy-duty series), 19 engines, 93 auto power trains, 46
materials and techniques, and 241 standards and technology projects.
In the area of fuel gas vehicles, CAERI has successfully applied
sophisticated fuel gas jetting technology, specialized gas
combustion engine control software and modules in developing the
single fuel lean burn combustion and oxygen sensor-controlled CNG/LPG
engines and natural inhalation CNG/LPG engines for domestic
automakers, engine manufacturers and bus operators, which meet Euro
II or Euro III emission standards, as well as hybrid vehicles, MPVs,
and off-road fuel gas engines. Some of its products were supplied to
South and Southeast Asian countries and regions. By adopting new
materials and techniques, CAERI has developed a set of manufacturing
processes for auto materials and parts desiderated by domestic
makers of heavy-duty vehicles, military, light-weight and special
vehicles. At present, CAERI is researching on the application of
high-strength steel in making lighter vehicles, the mechanical
properties and formability of aluminum alloy, and the weariness and
anti-erosion treatment of magnesium alloy parts. In the area of
light-rail transit,CAERI has conducted research around the bogie and
key installations and technology for the Chongqing monorail, and has
successfully developed the guide wheel axle and stabilizing wheel
axle,running wheel units,tyre pressure meter and other critical
components. It has also made great progress on products. Such as
reducer device, foundation brake system,running wheel system, tyre
pressure sensor and driving device.
In 2007, Coal Industry Jinan Design and Research Institute
Co.,Ltd. (abbr. as CJD) officially became a subsidiary of Genertec.
CJD has an outstanding track record in coal, construction and EPC
and is the recipient of many national and provincial awards and
honors in engineering design, consulting and construction. CJD now
owns 13 Class-A qualification certificate 4 Class-B qualification
certificate and other intellectual resources in the design for coal
and construction industries, engineering consulting, costing,
survey, supervision and measurement. CJD specializes in the
master-planning across the coal mining sector, design and consulting
for coal mines, power engineering design, municipal construction
design, engineering supervision and EPC, supported by a professional
team of certified architects, structure, costing, consulting and
supervision engineers. The engineering design capabilities and
outstanding qulification certificates have formed the most important
part of Genertec,s core competitiveness for domestic and
international engineering contract.
Genertec Consulting Company Limited,
previously the Public Utilities Consulting Unit of Instrimpex
International Tendering Corporation, is a leading consulting firm
for urban infrastructure and environmental projects. Since it
started to advise on public utilities projects in 2002, the company
has accumulatively completed about a dozen of commissioned water and
solid waste treatment projects based its own expertise and has
proven an outstanding consultancy and tender agency for the public
sector. Through these projects, it has gained a lot of project
experience and retained a pool of technical, financial, investment,
and legal professionals.
