Genertec Donated RMB 20 million in Cash and Medicines to the Earthquake-suffered Region

On May 12th, 2008, an 8.0-magnitude earthquake hit Wenchuan, Sichuan Province. Time means lives—The CP Group of Genertec and the management of Genertec made an urgent decision quickly on May 14th to donate RMB 3 million and medicines of RMB 5 million to Sichuan Province.

To implement the plan of anti-earthquake of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and to meet the needs of earthquake-suffered region, the CP Group and the board of Genertec decided to donate again RMB 7 million (including RMB 0.56 million donated from the employees) and medicines worth of RMB 5 million, to contribute to the anti-earthquake success and better practice social responsibilities by a State-owned company. Up to now, Genertec has donated RMB 20 million in total, including RMB 10 million in cash and 10 million in medicines.

Besides, Genertec made another donation of RMB 7 million to Longnan, Gansu Province, for tents and construction of love-giving schools in the earthquake-hit area in Sichuan Province. The medicines worth of RMB 5 million has been transported to the relevant areas via the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
